שלום לכולם, ושיהיה לכם שבוע AAA!
מאז הפעם הקודמת שדיברנו ציינו את ה-GGJ החמישי שלנו שהיה מהנה במיוחד, קבלנו לתעשייה את פניהם של בוגרי מחזור חדש מהתוכנית לפיתוח משחקים בשנקר, והתחלנו במפגשי הבירה החודשיים שלנו.
בנוסף התאספו לנו ים של הודעות על פעילויות קרובות, אבל למה לתאר אותן אם אפשר להודיע:
• אירוע הבירה הקרוב שלנו יתקיים ב-14.3 בחסות Amazon Web Services יבקר אותנו Guy Ernest, Solution Architect AWS שיספר על “”Journey in Game Development Land with AWS. בנוסף צפויות מספר הפתעות גם בתוכן וגם בקולינריה ונקנח בהגרלת פרס למפתחי המשחקים תחת Games for Change ב-GGJ האחרון, קורס UX של חברת נטקראפט בשווי 12,000 ש”ח.
• אנחנו גאים לבשר על הצטרפותה של GameIS להתאגדות של ארגוני תעשיות המשחקים באירופה. בהתאגדות ניתן למצוא את הארגונים המקבילים לנו בספרד, אירלנד, הולנד, מלטה, גרמניה, פולין, המדינות הנורדיות ועוד. ההטבה העיקרית עבורכם היא הנחה אוטומטית של 20% לכל הכנסים המאורגנים ע”י החברות בהתאגדות, לה זכאים כל חברי העמותה ובאי הכנס השנתי שלנו.
ההזדמנות הראשונה לנצל את ההטבה היא בכנס Quo Vadis של התעשייה הגרמנית שיערך ב-23-27.4 בברלין. משלחת ישראלית כבר מתארגנת, אם אתם מעוניינים להצטרף, צרו קשר עם אלון קפלן. פרטים מלאים בפוסט הזה.
• ב-17-20.4 יערך פסטיבל פרינט סקרין בסינמטק חולון, העוסק בתרבות הדיגיטלית בשיתוף אמנים ומומחים מהארץ ומחו”ל.
אנו עורכים שיתוף פעולה תוכני רחב עם הפסטיבל, תכנים עליהם נפרט בניוזלטר הבא, אך ראשית חוכמה אנו משיקים ביחד תחרות ליצירת סרטוני משינימה. כל הפרטים בפוסט זה.
• כנס ה-GDC הבינלאומי המתקיים בסן-פרנסיסקו ב-25-29.03.2013 הוא כפי הנראה הכנס הבין-לאומי החשוב ביותר על פני השנה. משלחת נאה תצא מישראל ואם אתם מתכוונים להיות בסביבה אל תחמיצו את סדר הפסח שאורגן בעזרת העמותה ע”י מספר יהודים יקרים מהתעשייה, הפרטים כאן. נותרו כ-10 כרטיסים אחרונים, וגם כאן תוכלו לקבל הנחה של 20% בציון הקוד gameis .
בנוסף אנחנו שולחים נציגים מטעמנו לארגון אירוע הרמת כוסית ישראלית באחד מערבי הכנס בביתן של Primesense. בהצלחה לכולם!
• ב-15.3 יתקיים אי-כנס בנושא ניו-מדיה במרכז ההדרכה של בנק הפועלים בשפיים. למי שמכיר את הפורמט מהאירוע שלנו בתחום המשחקים, וודאי ישמח להגיע לאירוע על התחום הרחב יותר (שמבזבז את זמננו הפנוי באותו יחס). הפרטים באירוע בפייסבוק.
• למי שטרם נתקל, הוידאו של תזמורת ה-JamIS מהכנס השנתי האחרון עלה לאוויר בשעה טובה. שמנו לנו למטרה להגיע לחשיפה בינלאומית עם ההפקה הזו, ומטרת משנה לשבור את הגנגנאם סטייל בכמות הצפיות (גרסת ה-ascii שלו). אז קחו את הלינק הזה ותשלחו אותו, עדיף מעבר לים!

o לאחר חודשיים של פגישות שבועיות, ניסחנו את היעדים שברצוננו להתמקד בהם השנה. ניתן לעיין בפוסט זה.
o מעבר לפעילות הקבועה בתחום האירועים שלנו, אנחנו עובדים בקדחתנות על מספר הטבות בלעדיות לחברי העמותה, פרטים בקרוב.
o כפי שאולי אינכם יודעים, ישנו מספר מרשים של חברי העמותה שעדיין לא הסדירו את תשלום דמי החבר (בסך 50 ₪). נשמח מאוד אם תעשו זאת דרך פייפאל. לכל בעיה ושאלה תוכלו ליצור עמנו קשר דרך תיבת הפניות שנמצאת באתר.

Hello everyone, and have a AAA week!
Since our last episode of the newsletter, we hosted the fifth Global Game Jam, greeted the fresh graduates of Shenkar’s game development program and kicked off a new season of beer meetups. We have been up to a lot recently, so lets get started with the news!
The next beer gathering will take place in 14.3 and will be sponsored by Amazon Web Services. We have the pleasure of hosting Guy Ernest, Solution Architect AWS who will tell us about a “Journey in Game Development Land with AWS”. Join us for a night of beer, snacks and surprises. We will also be holding the Netcraft UX course raffle among the GGJ’s “Games for Change” initiative.
We are happy to announce that GameIS has joined the European Gaming Industry Association. The association contains groups like us in countries such as Spain, Ireland, Germany and more! GameIS members enjoy a 20% discount on all conferences organized by members of the association. The next conference is Quo Vadis which will be held in 23-27.4 in Berlin. An Israeli delegation is at hand, please contact Alon Kaplan in this post for more info.
The Print Screen Festival is taking place in 17-20.4 in Holon’s Cinemateque. The festival is all about digital culture and attracts both artists and experts from Israel and abroad. We have a vast content partnership with the festival, which you will hear about in the next newsletter. For now, we have launched the Machinima competition, which you can read about here.
As you probably know, the GDC is taking place in San Francisco in 25-29.3, and is arguably the most important game development conference out there. If you are taking part in the Israeli delegation, make sure not to miss out on the Passover Seder that is being hosted by our Jewish friends in the industry. More details can be found here. There is a New-Media Unconference in 15.3 in the “Bank Hapoalim Traning Center” in Shfaim. Unconference veterans will fit right in, and everyone is invited to get a bite of the bigger picture. Details in the facebook event.
